Sign up for the Fall 2013 Change Agent Series!!! From the 4th-23rd on OrgySync!
(Open to the first 20 people to submit an intent form) 

Change Agent Series
4 – 6:00 p.m. on Mondays

September 23rd & 30th, October 7th & 14th, 2013

Anyone is welcome to sign up and join us for this four week long series, we simply ask that you ensure you are able to attend ALL 4 Sessions. If for some reasons you are unable to attend all four weeks, we ask that you adjust your schedule so that you can attend or sign up next semester instead. Workshops will take place on Tuesday from 3:30pm-5:30pm for SPRING 2014.

Who Are You & Where Have You Been?
Monday, September 23rd
4 p.m. - 6:00p.m. - Willow River Room (334) - University Center

Take part in interactive exercises that prompt you to reflect on the complexity of identity and its construction. This workshop will help you understand the complexity of your own identity and individuality. This session is intended to help develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of yourself and others while being introduced to social justice concepts: social identity, dominant group, subordinated group, power, privilege and oppression. 

Where Are We Going? Empowerment & Allyship
Monday, September 30th
4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. - Willow River Room (334) - University Center

Identify current and historic social injustice. Find out what has been done and what can be done to create sustained change. Deepen your understanding of your personal identity. Discover your capacity to engage in the world and create change. Guided exercises will help to develop a greater understanding of how we can use our privileged and oppressed identities to become empowered allies in creating change.

Taking Action: Engaging In Our Community
Monday, October 7th
4:00p.m. - 6:00p.m. - Willow River Room (334) - University Center

What issues are you passionate about? How will you make a difference in your community? Equipped with your life experiences, new knowledge and a desire for change, learn how to take action. Discuss global economic, social, and environmental issues while developing personal action plans for community engagement. We can make the world a more peaceful and just place for all!

Monday, October 14th
4:00p.m. - 6:00p.m. - Willow River Room (334) - University Center

We will share ideas, next steps and support one another in our action plans. This celebration time will also be spent distributing certificates of completion and PEACE Change Agent Shirts.

This experience is open to the first 20 participants to fill out an intent form.
